2 T butter
2 t baking powder
2 c. flour
Mix butter into flour until it resembles breadcrumbs
milk
Add enough milk to make a fairly firm dough.
Pat or roll out (keep fairly thick with air bubbles present) and spread with jam.
(Can use: jam, any kind of preserves, fresh fruit - microwave 90 seconds to soften, drained canned fruit, applesauce, raisins, cinnamon)
Roll up like a Swiss roll, seam on bottom, and place in baking dish.
Syrup:
1 c. brown sugar
1 T butter
2 c. boiling water
Pour over the roll, cover, and bake at 400 degrees for 30 minutes.
